Seasonal fan-favorites make their return to menus.
Sonic Drive-In added a new Trick or Treat blast, which features Heath, M&M’s Minis and Oreo cookie pieces mixed together with either vanilla or chocolate soft serve.
Making its return to menus at Culver’s is the “CurderBurger,” which features the chain’s deluxe butter burger with a “fried cheese crown.”
Taco Bell is bringing back its nacho fries and debuting its first national vegan offering, nacho fries with vegan nacho sauce.
MOD Super-Fast Pizza added its pocket pie as a permanent menu addition to its restaurants. The item originally was launched as a limited-time offering in March 2023. The pocket pie is available in three flavors: Italiano, four cheese and chicken bacon ranch.
“Our customers made their voices heard,” said Scott Uehlein, vice president of culinary excellence and innovation at MOD Pizza. “After overwhelming demand for a craveable, on-the-go option for lunch or dinner, the clear choice was to keep the Pocket Pie on our menu — permanently.”
IHOP debuted its fall menu, which features a variety of new and returning fan-favorites. The breakfast chain added several options of sweet and savory Belgian waffles, as well as entrees, steakburgers, biscuits and pumpkin-inspired menu items.
“This fall, we have kicked it up a notch by delivering a dedicated biscuits menu, and now, expanded our popular waffles to include Nashville hot chicken and waffles and a waffle sundae so that our guests can enjoy any time of day,” said Kieran Donahue, chief marketing officer at IHOP.
To celebrate its 40th anniversary, Panda Express is adding its first dessert item: an apple pie roll. The American Chinese dessert features apples, fall spices and cinnamon sugar, wrapped in a crispy wonton wrapper.
Nathan’s Famous introduced the New York chopped cheese hero to its menus. The new sandwich features a half-pound of angus beef, topped with American cheese, burger sauce, lettuce and tomato all served on an artisan baguette.
Red Robin Gourmet Burgers launched its new lineup of burgers, entrees, appetizers and beverages. The line features of a variety of items, including a burnt ends barbecue burger, Parmesan Brussels sprouts, tsunami shrimp and caramel apple pie milkshake, among others.
“Red Robin has heard burger lovers’ desire for us to get back to our gourmet roots,” said Brian Sullivan, executive chef and vice president of culinary and beverage innovation. “We’re raising our game to deliver a truly crave worthy burger experience with a number of upgrades that mean bigger, better flavor. It all starts with our new flattop grills that caramelize the burger patty and seal in juicy flavor.”
Jack in the Box, Inc. is bringing back its Monster taco for the Halloween season, along with a new spicy version, the Angry Monster taco. The tacos feature ground beef, melted American cheese, shredded lettuce and taco sauce, with the Angry Monster taco featuring a spicy red shell.
Firehouse Subs announced the return of its King’s Hawaiian pork and slaw sandwich, the first time the menu option is available in more then eight years. Available for a limited time, the sandwich features smoked pulled pork, melted pepper jack cheese and slaw, all served on a King’s Hawaiian original sweet bun.
