Food Entrepreneur SAN DIEGO — The founder and chief executive officer of CaliBagels, a brand of bagels and bagel chips, has launched an online marketplace connecting consumer packaged goods companies with freelance and fractional experts across a range of skillsets.

Phil Gorman said he developed CPG Brains because he “didn’t have a single platform to manage the various contractors I had engaged” to support manufacturing and retail distribution for his bagel business. The platform, which is free for brand owners to use, features a curated pool of professionals including marketing strategists, product development specialists, supply chain management and online retail experts, and uses “advanced algorithms” to facilitate connections.

Mr. Gorman said the platform offers time and cost savings by streamlining the hiring process while providing secure communication channels to protect confidential information.

"As the CPG landscape continues to evolve, access to the right expertise is crucial for any sized brand seeking sustainable growth," Mr. Gorman said. "Our platform serves as a bridge, connecting CPG Brands with the brightest minds in the industry to foster innovation, drive efficiency, and ultimately achieve success."

Brand owners and experts may learn more and explore the platform at CPGBrains.com.
